SDCAA Attends USD Affinity Bar Mixer to Build Bridges for Future Legal Professionals

2026年1月30日，圣地亚哥华人律师协会委派代表周佳叶律师与李钦律师，赴圣地亚哥大学（USD）法学院参加活动。此次活动旨在加强法律实务界与学术界的联系，助力在校法学生构建职业社交网络。

On Friday, January 30, 2026, the San Diego Chinese Attorney Association (SDCAA) proudly joined the legal community at the University of San Diego (USD) School of Law for an afternoon of mentorship and professional networking. Representing the SDCAA were esteemed attorneys Jiaye Zhou and Qin Li, who engaged with the next generation of legal professionals during the "Affinity Bar Mixer" held at Warren Hall.

Event Highlights

本次盛会于圣地亚哥大学 Warren Hall 隆重举行。活动首环节为“社交实务速成课”，由 USD 法学院学生事务部与职业发展部共同主持，为学生在进入正式法律社交环境前提供策略指导与专业礼仪培训。下午3时许，交流联谊活动正式拉开帷幕。

The afternoon kicked off with a "Networking Crash Course" hosted by Law Student Affairs and Law Careers, designed to equip students with the confidence to navigate professional environments. Following the workshop, the main mixer took place in the second-floor foyer of Warren Hall. 

本次活动规格宏大，汇聚了校方领导层及圣地亚哥法律界的领军力量：

· 院方高层： 圣地亚哥大学法学院院长、副院长及多名法学教授出席，体现了校方对多元化法律职业教育的深度支持。

· 法律界团体： 圣地亚哥华人律师协会、圣地亚哥县律师协会、圣地亚哥韩裔律师协会等主流律师组织共同应邀出席，展现了圣地亚哥法律界法律社群的团结与多元。

· 法学新生代： 数十名 2028届 JD（法律博士） 学生到场，积极寻求专业发展契机。

Key attendees included:

· USD Faculty: The Dean, Vice Dean, and various faculty members were present to support student outreach.

· Legal Organizations: Representatives from major local associations, including the San Diego County Bar Association, the Korean American Bar Association of San Diego, and the SDCAA.

· Students: Dozens of JD candidates from the Class of 2028.

Building Bridges

在交流过程中，SDCAA 代表周佳叶律师与李钦律师与参会的 JD 学生及教职员工进行了广泛而深入的探讨。两位代表不仅分享了在圣地亚哥执业的宝贵经验，更详细介绍了 SDCAA 在维护华人律师权益、促进社区服务及提供导师支持方面的核心职能。

圣地亚哥华人律师协会始终致力于搭建法律精英与法学学子之间的桥梁。通过此次活动，协会进一步巩固了与圣地亚哥大学法学院的合作关系，并为培养具有多元背景的高素质法律人才贡献了专业力量。

For the SDCAA, this event served as a vital platform to fulfill its mission of fostering community and providing guidance to law students of Chinese descent and those interested in the Asian-American legal landscape.

Attorneys Zhou and Li shared practical insights into the legal profession, discussed the importance of affinity bar involvement, and helped students begin building the professional networks that will sustain their future careers.
